WHY PAYROLL – MANUAL AND COMPUTERISED QQI  LEVEL 5 ….

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain payroll records both manually and on the computer.  Candidates who successfully complete this module will be able to work effectively and efficiently in a HR or accounts department, dealing with the payroll function.

Commencing Tues 21st November 2017

Schedule – Tuesday & Thursday Mornings
Duration – 8 Weeks
Times – 9.15am to 1pm

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN …..

Manual Payroll

  • Understand payroll terms
  • Understand Tax Credit Certificate and cut-off points
  • Operate the cumulative system
  • Operate the emergency and temporary system
  • Calculate the employers and employees PRSI liabilities
  • Complete P45, P60, P30, P35 and P35L forms

Computerised Payroll                                                                                                                 

  • Set-up and enter company details
  • Enter employee details
  • Process the payroll for a number of employees
  • Edit the employee data when necessary e.g.  changes in  salary, tax credits, cut-off points, etc
  • Print off payroll management reports e.g. total payroll costs, gross to net, employee cumulative payslips including statutory documents P45, P30, P60’s, etc
